Miami University is pleased to make limited residence hall housing available for the evening of
Saturday, May 16, 2026
for the family and friends of graduating Miamians.
Please note that accommodations are not available on Friday, May 15th due to Miami's promise to students that they can remain in their residence hall rooms during finals week, through Friday evening.
Cost: $125 per night (plus tax) for a traditional residence hall room with two twin beds.
All reservations will be charged a 10% online registration fee.
All reservations are non-refundable.
RESERVATIONS OPEN AT 8AM EST MARCH 16TH AND CLOSE MAY 1ST AT 5PM.
A note about residence hall accommodations:
We're happy to provide the option of staying in our student residence halls—a convenient and economical choice right here on campus.
For the best experience, please understand that this type of housing is not comparable to a standard hotel and may not suit all travelers.
* Expect a Student Environment: These rooms are appointed for student life, not as a hotel. You can anticipate a basic, clean, and functional space.
* Bed Height: Please be aware that the beds are elevated 40 inches from the floor, which can be difficult for some guests to navigate.
* Staffing & Maintenance: Our staff takes immense pride in making every room as comfortable and clean as a residence hall can be. However, due to the tight turnover after students depart, we will have limited time to address minor maintenance issues.
* Ongoing Campus Life: A small number of students will remain in the halls, so please anticipate an active student atmosphere.
If you require full hotel services or standard ground-level beds, a local hotel may be a better fit for your needs.
The policies and procedures of Commencement Housing are below:
* Reservations are non-refundable. Reservation holders may designate another individual to assume their booking. Any monetary compensation for this transfer must be handled privately between the involved parties.
* Expected locations for housing for Commencement 2026 include Young and Hillcrest Hall. We do not guarantee placement in a specific building.
* Availability is limited and a sell-out is possible; however, completion and payment through this form secures a room(s). Retain the confirmation which will be emailed to you for your records.
* Check-in for Commencement Housing is offered between 3pm and 9pm on Saturday, May 16th in the lobby of Young Hall where your party will receive their housing assignments. Do not bring luggage into check-in as you may need to drive to your assigned hall.
* The address for Young Hall is 231 Western College Drive, Oxford OH 45056.
* Parking during Commencement Weekend is complimentary. University street parking and any surface parking lot do not require university permits, however guests must heed accessible parking and yellow zones as signed.
* Rooms are equipped with bed sheets, pillows, and a light blanket.
* Quiet hours of Commencement Housing are between 12am and 7am.
* Miami University is a non-smoking campus, including all spaces of the residence halls.
* Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the common spaces of residence halls.
* Check-out from Commencement Housing must be prior to 1:00pm on Sunday, May 17th.
* For check-out, please turn in all room access cards to desk personnel.
